Tuesday will start quietly, just me and a leftover slice of Garden Vegetable Quiche from Magnolia Table, Vol. 3. I’ll warm it in the oven instead of the microwave because a flaky crust deserves better than a quick zap. It’s simple, but it feels like a good start.

Dinner will bring another round of Gaines Family Chili with Jalapeño Cornbread from Vol. 1. Comfort food really doesn’t ask for much, just a little care.

And tonight, I’ll finally make Aunt Opal’s Banana Pudding from Magnolia Table, Vol. 2. The mixer will hum, the layers will stack, and the kitchen will smell a little sweeter than it did yesterday.

Cooking Tip: Reheating quiche in the oven keeps the crust crisp and the center soft — worth the extra few minutes.

Kitchen Tool: My pie server will help lift each slice cleanly, because even leftovers deserve a graceful presentation.

Tuesdays don’t need to sparkle. They just need to taste good and maybe that’s enough.
