Monday will call for comfort. The kind that melts slowly and smells like home. Breakfast will be an Apple White Cheddar Sourdough Melt, crisp on the outside, gooey in the middle, perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. The cast iron will handle the heavy lifting, and I’ll remember not to rush it — good things will always take their time.

Dinner will be easy — Leftover Chicken Pot Pie with Mashed Potatoes from the weekend, warm and familiar, the culinary version of your favorite rerun.

And dessert? Aunt Opal’s Banana Pudding from Magnolia Table, Vol. 2. Layers of vanilla wafers, cream, and nostalgia will come together in one dish that feels like both a memory and a reward.

Cooking Tip: I’ll let the skillet preheat before grilling the sandwich so the bread toasts evenly and the cheese melts just right.

Kitchen Tool: My offset spatula will make the perfect flip, keeping the layers intact and my morning mood unbothered.

Monday will be all about slowing down, savoring what’s familiar, and letting the kitchen do what it does best — bring a little joy back to the start of the week.
