When brunch meets autumn — savory, sweet, and ready in one pan.
There’s a moment every fall when the air shifts — just slightly — and suddenly, brunch needs to taste like a hug. That’s where this skillet comes in. Sweet apples, caramelized onions, and Trader Joe’s apple chicken sausage come together like they were made for each other.
It’s simple, yes, but it feels like more. The kind of meal you make when you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to daylight but craving something warm, golden, and grounding.
And maybe that’s what fall cooking really is — finding comfort in what’s already on hand, tossing it together in a skillet, and letting the scent of butter, apples, and onions fill the kitchen with nostalgia.

What You Will Need:
1 package Trader Joe’s Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage, sliced
2 apples, cored and sliced (Honeycrisp or Gala work beautifully)
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
What You Will Need To Do:
Heat butter or olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and lightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the apple slices and cook until just tender.
Add the sliced sausage and continue cooking until heated through and golden in spots.
Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve warm — it’s sweet, savory, and comforting, like sweater weather in a skillet.
Gracefully yours,

Help keep the words flowing and the stories brewing.
