Monday will begin with the scent of cinnamon and brown butter drifting through the kitchen — the kind of morning that invites you to linger a little longer over coffee. I’ll be testing a new recipe for Pumpkin Pie Spice Rolls with Maple Cream Cheese Icing, a warm and cozy nod to fall mornings that deserve a little sweetness.

Dinner will stay simple with a repeat of Trader Joe’s BBQ Chicken Pizza topped with Pickled Red Onions, an easy favorite that pairs comfort with a little tangy kick.

And somewhere between the rolling pin and the pizza cutter, I’ll finish writing my Foodhism November Japan Issue entry — a piece that celebrates flavor, tradition, and the stories food tells when we listen closely.

Cooking Tip: When baking sweet rolls, I’ll place a shallow dish of hot water on the oven rack below during proofing — it keeps the dough tender and helps it rise beautifully.

Kitchen Tool: A bench scraper (aka food truck) will be my secret weapon — perfect for cutting dough cleanly, lifting sticky edges, and keeping the workspace tidy.

It will be a Monday filled with dough, dreams, and deadlines — the kind of day that reminds me why I love both baking and storytelling.
