A weeknight win made with Trader Joe’s favorites — fast, flavorful, and family-approved.
Some dinners don’t need a backstory — just a skillet, a bag from the freezer aisle, and ten quiet minutes at the stove. Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken has been a fan favorite for years, but tonight it gets a little glow-up with buttery blistered green peppers and a side of warm rice. It’s the kind of meal that reminds you dinner doesn’t have to be complicated to be good — it just has to make everyone happy.

What You Will Need:
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 bag Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup cooked rice (white, jasmine, or brown)
Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
What You Will Need To Do:
Prepare the Mandarin Orange Chicken according to package directions. While the chicken bakes, sauté the green pepper in butter over medium heat until tender and slightly blistered. Warm the orange sauce packet as directed, then toss with the cooked chicken. Add the sautéed peppers and stir to combine, coating everything in that sweet-and-savory glaze.

Serve over or alongside warm rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
A little crispy, a little saucy, and exactly what weeknights were made for.
Gracefully yours,
