This Tuesday will start with apple cider muffins, part of Sally’s baking challenge. The kitchen will smell like cinnamon and cider, like fall found its way into the oven. Muffins always remind me that baking is part patience, part precision, and part magic.
By dinner, French Lentil Soup will simmer low and slow from Magnolia Table Vol 2, filling the house with earthy, savory warmth. I’ll serve it alongside slices of Honey Oat Bread from Magnolia Table Vol 3, yesterday’s bake, toasted just enough to carry butter into every corner.

A Dutch Oven will be the quiet star here, keeping the lentils tender without fuss. And I’ll remember that soups, like seasons, only get better when we give them time.
