Brown butter smells like legacy. Nutty, rich, a little deeper than regular butter; like something ordinary that’s been transformed by heat and time into something unforgettable. It’s a reminder that what lasts often comes from the slow burn, the quiet choices, the willingness to stay in the pan just a little longer.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about the choices that build something beyond myself. Not the big flashy gestures, but the small, daily decisions that leave a mark. Kingdom legacy isn’t built in grand speeches or perfect Instagram posts; it’s in the meals shared at your own table, the prayers whispered over kids who roll their eyes, the way you keep showing up even when no one claps. When I choose to cook with what I have, to write the words that scare me, to love the people in front of me, I’m laying down bricks in something much bigger than my own story. Like browned butter, it’s the little extra time, the little extra yes, that changes everything.
Brown Butter Peanut Butter Cup Blossom Bars
What You Will Need
- ¾ cup butter, browned
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 8 oz bag Mini Reese’s peanut butter cups
- 3 tsp white sparkling sugar

What You Will Need To Do:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Brown the butter: In a skillet, melt ¾ cup butter over medium heat. Stir until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat; let cool slightly.
- Mix the dough: In a stand mixer, combine browned butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter. Beat until smooth. Add 2 eggs and 2 tsp vanilla. Stir in 1 tsp baking soda and ½ tsp salt. Gradually add 2 ½ cups flour until fully incorporated.
- Press & sprinkle: Press dough evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with 2 tsp sparkling sugar.
- Bake: Bake 18–20 minutes, until golden brown at the edges.
- Top with peanut butter cups: Remove from oven and immediately press 9–16 Reese’s Minis into the bars in rows. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp sparkling sugar.
- Cool & cut: Cool completely, about 1 hour. Cut into squares, each with a Reese’s center.
- Store: Keep in an airtight container at room temp up to 4 days.

These bars are sweet, nutty, and a little sparkly; just like the people I hope my life touches. They remind me that legacy doesn’t have to be perfect to be good. It’s not about flawless presentation. It’s about presence, about offering something that nourishes and delights. So here’s my question for you: What choices are you making today that will linger tomorrow? What are the small, daily “brown butter” moments that could become your kingdom legacy?
Maybe legacy isn’t written in stone. Maybe it’s baked into the bars you share, the prayers you whisper, the love you give away freely. And maybe that’s enough.
Gracefully yours,

Help keep the words flowing and the stories brewing.
