The day will start with a protein shake — quick, simple, something I can sip while catching up on emails or wiping down counters that will somehow already need it.
But by dinner, I’ll want something with a little more soul. Magnolia Table, Vol. 2’s Beef Stroganoff will be on the stove, filling the kitchen with that warm, nostalgic smell of butter, onions, and mushrooms meeting cream. It will be the kind of dish that invites you to slow down — to stir, taste, and breathe.
And when the dishes are done (or at least soaking in the sink), I’ll bake a batch of Silo Cookies. Because there will always be something worth celebrating, even if it’s just making it to Tuesday night with a full heart and a full plate.
Maybe that’s the secret to a good week — knowing when to simplify, when to stir, and when to reach for the cookies.
